Kitchen Basics: Mashed Potatoes

Mashed Potatoes

  • 2 Idaho potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons salted butter
  • ΒΌ cup warmed whole milk

Options: dash of salt & pepper, 1 tsp Minced Garlic, 2 tsp parsley flakes

Directions:

  1. Scrub potatoes with a vegetable scrubbing cloth.
  2. With a sharp knife, dice into small pieces.
  3. Toss pieces into a quart of boiling water for 10 minutes.
  4. Drain and mash.
  5. Mix in butter and warmed milk.
  6. Season as desired.
